Meet Lacey

My husband and I were determined to parent differently from how we were raised, but it wasn't until our daughter arrived that we truly understood the work it would take to break old patterns and create the nurturing, connected environment we envisioned for her. 

When she was just four months old, I dove deep into understanding biologically appropriate sleep and began my journey into becoming a certified coach. My passion for attachment science, childhood development, and emotional connection grew from there. Today, I specialize in helping families create lasting, meaningful change. I support parents by offering guidance on biologically appropriate expectations for sleep, encouraging emotional connection, and helping them tune into their instincts. -Lacey

At Gentle Nursery, my mission has always been to help parents create safe, nurturing, and toxin-free spaces for their babies. I believe every baby deserves a gentle start in life, and every parent deserves guidance that aligns with their values and instincts. 
 
My passion for holistic sleep began when I realized that traditional sleep training methods—like crying it out—go against the natural, intuitive ways parents connect with and care for their babies.

    This program is tailored for moms of babies and toddlers, ages 0-5 years, but the methods and advice can also be applied to older children. If you're pregnant or have a newborn, you can still benefit from the advice and support in our gentle sleep community.
  • What makes this sleep program different than others?
    Unlike traditional sleep training methods, we don’t use harsh techniques like cry-it-out or rigid schedules. We won't tell you to leave your baby to cry on their own in a dark room or unnaturally stretch out their feeds.

  • Is this sleep training in disguise?
    No, never. We are the anti-sleep-training program. And unlike other programs that claim not to use cry-it-out techniques, we actually don't. Many other "gentle" or "holistic" sleep coaching programs are just that, though... sleep training disguised by really good marketing tactics.
  • Why is this a women-only community?
    Gentle Sleep Society is designed with mothers in mind because we understand the unique challenges and emotions of being a mom. From the physical demands of pregnancy and breastfeeding to the emotional bond of nighttime caregiving, moms often bear the brunt of sleep struggles while juggling so many other responsibilities.

    Our approach reflects the gentle, intuitive ways many mothers parent, focusing on creating solutions that honor maternal instincts and the deep connection you share with your child. We aim to support women in reclaiming their rest while staying aligned with their natural parenting values.

    That said, we recognize that fathers and other caregivers play a vital role in a child’s sleep journey. While this program is tailored to moms, many of the strategies and tools we share can be applied by anyone in your parenting circle. You’re welcome to share what you learn with your partner or other caregivers to ensure everyone is on the same page.

    Absolutely! This program fully supports breastfeeding, safe cosleeping, and other attachment-focused parenting practices. Our methods are designed to integrate seamlessly into your family’s lifestyle and respect the choices that are most important to you. You’ll never be asked to change what’s working; you’ll just gain tools to feel more confident and supported in the process.
  • I’m already overwhelmed. Do I have to follow a set course schedule?
    Not at all. Come for the support, get your questions answered, and then jump into the course materials when you get a chance. You certainly don’t need to follow anything in a certain order.

    Pop in and ask a question whenever it works for you, or talk to us live on the weekly coaching calls. We also have a quick-start guide that you can use right away. You'll be able to go at your own pace, finding exactly what you need, and taking small steps that feel doable, not stressful.
  • Is this helpful for newborns? Or toddlers?
    Both. Gentle Sleep Society supports families from the newborn stage through toddlerhood and up to age 5. You’ll find age-specific guides, rhythms, and resources for wherever you are, and what’s ahead.
  • Will I get personal support?
    Yes! You can ask questions anytime in the member chat, and we also host weekly live Q&A calls where you can bring your unique situation and questions. No one-size-fits-all answers... just gentle, thoughtful guidance that’s rooted in connection and trust.
  • I’m worried I’ll fall behind or won’t use it enough.
    There’s no such thing here. This isn’t a race; it’s a support space. Some members check in multiple times a week, while others just check in when things feel hard. You’re welcome here in whatever way works for you.
